I wasn't so sure about the whole athletic / tennis dress trend, that is until I tried it. Ugh. I hate to admit it, but they're so easy to throw on and so comfortable when it's blazing hot out. Not to mention, the shorts and pockets. When chasing toddlers at the zoo, or watching your kids chase some kind of ball around, or at the park when all of a sudden, your sweet cherub is stuck on top of the jungle gym and needs to you come get her... (How did you even get up there?!) These dresses are clutch.
Oh, or if you actually play tennis / golf / pickleball, these will totally keep you ready for the court or course. I'm now a believer.
This blue is so pretty, and just wait till you see the back. Holy Cannoli. I haven't tried this one, but It's currently in my cart and under $15!!

So, I got this dress in black. It has separate shorts (hallelujah!) and is very comfy. I didn't loooove the fabric of the black one (a little shiny? I guess is the word), but I like it enough to keep wearing it. After all, it's definitely workout attire material. Has a nice shelf bra with padding, so you don't need to wear a bra if you don't want to. I sized up to a L, and while parts could be tighter, I always worry about the length (I'm 5'8-9ish). It ended up being fine, though I probably could do a M. just my 2 cents.
